An automatic window operator is a mechanical device that opens and closes casement windows. It is ideal for people who have difficulty locking and unlocking windows. Crucially, you can easily open hard-to-reach windows, such as roof lights, with a simple switch. Furthermore, you can install the operator on many types of windows, including casement windows, tilt & turn, and roof lights (as mentioned earlier).
The Chain Actuator
We refer to the operational part of the automatic window opener as an ‘actuator’. You can control it in several ways. A standard fitting of a window actuator includes a remote control unit or a wall switch (see our section on wall switches to view the various options). In addition, as an optional extra, we can integrate a window actuator with a Somfy TaHoma environmental control system (smartphone control) or an Alexa Speaker (voice control). Ultimately, we provide a suitable window automation solution for customers with individual requirements. Consequently, from a security aspect, an automatic window operator is particularly safe, since it utilises more than one billion combination codes.
